Discover Today’s Douglass at Douglass Day on October 13!

Collage

For over 100 years, commitment to innovative academic excellence has established Douglass as a leader in feminist education. Generations of Douglass students have benefitted from Douglass’ unique approach to the college experience—a strategy that prioritizes hands-on educational opportunities that empower students to own their voices, dreams, and talents.

On October 13, you can experience this transformational impact first-hand at Douglass Day, a showcase of Douglass’ innovative programs, leadership, history, & future.

“We designed Douglass Day so that guests will experience much of what makes the Douglass educational model stand out and be widely recognized within the community and beyond for positive transformational impact on students,” said Dean Meghan Rehbein.

A day-long event, Douglass Day will include a meet-and-greet with newly appointed Douglass Dean, Dr. Meghan Rehbein, opportunities to take Douglass’ foundational class, Knowledge & Power, and demonstrations by current Douglass students as they share their work in Douglass’ cutting-edge programs across the arts, humanities, and sciences. so close, an exhibition by Amina Ross, Douglass’ 2023-2024 Estelle Lebowitz Artist-in-Residence, will also be on display all day in the Douglass Library.

“I am immensely proud of the quality and depth of the education we offer our students,” said Dean Rehbein. “They find connection and support through living-learning communities; partake in hands-on research and collaborations with faculty, visiting artists, and thought leaders; explore industries and gain marketable skills through externships, internships, and mentoring. They do all this and more while experiencing the spirit, pride, and joy that is part and parcel of being a member of the Douglass community.”

The programs at Douglass are only possible because of the enduring generosity of the College’s alumnae and friends. See your dollars at work on October 13 as current Douglass students and staff exhibit the College’s innovative curriculum.
