Chancellor Francine Conway Awarded Honorary Douglass Stole

Chancellor Francine Conway Accepts Douglass Stole

At the 104th Spring Convocation on May 17, 2025, Douglass had the pleasure of presenting Chancellor Francine Conway of Rutgers–New Brunswick with an honor Douglass stole.

Chancellor Conway has been a champion of the Douglass mission since starting in her role as Chancellor-Provost. She has offered guidance on the College’s new strategic plan, collaborated on innovative new visions for the future of Douglass Campus, and connected with Douglass alumni and students alike at events and ceremonies. Chancellor Conway has taken a particular interest in Douglass’ community models for living and learning.

“Chancellor Conway is one of Douglass’ greatest advocates. She’s an integral part of our work at the College, and we were so honored to present her with a Douglass stole,” said Dean Meghan Rehbein of Douglass Residential College. "Chancellor Conway recognizes the high-impact, long-term benefits of the experiential learning programs and the sense of community that we provide."

Before her remarks to the Douglass Class of 2025, Chancellor Conway was presented the honorary stole on stage by Dean Meghan Rehbein and Douglass Alumnae Advisory Board Members Barbara Rodkin DC’76 and Julie Domonkos DC’83.

As Douglass continues to expand its presence across Rutgers–New Brunswick and connect with more students each year, we are grateful to have a partner who supports and shares in our mission.

"With her partnership, we have already enhanced the experience of Douglass students at Rutgers, particularly for those who are seeking a foundational leadership education," said Dean Rehbein. "We will continue to reach even higher."
