Externships

An externship is a short-term immersive job shadowing experience that occurs over semester breaks. It is designed to be a first workplace experience to help students learn about various careers while building their resumes for future internships and job opportunities. No prior experience is needed to land an externship.

The BOLD Center for Leadership, Career, and Personal Development

Douglass' BOLD Center is a one-stop shop for personalized guidance on all things career, leadership, mentoring, and personal achievement.

Public Policy and Legal Programs

Students of all majors are invited to explore Public Policy and Leadership programs at Douglass. These programs include seminars in Washington DC, internships, workshops to prepare for law school, networking opportunities and more.

STEM Industry Perspectives Course

This one-year course pairs Douglass students with mentors from PSEG, Bristol Meyers Squibb, and Everest Insurance for one-to-one mentoring. Make critical connections, participate in site visits, and take control of your future in a STEM industry.

"I had the incredible opportunity to complete an externship with the Delaware Center for Justice. I gained valuable hands-on experience in restorative justice and learned so much from the team."
