There’s Still Time to Support the Power of 100 Years Campaign

There’s still time to make an impact with a gift to Douglass Residential College’s Power of 100 Years Campaign. Philanthropic support is vital to enrich programming and provide scholarships to our students. By giving to Douglass, you are directly supporting students.

Gifts to Douglass support student programs, such as those listed below. You can help make the Douglass Difference for students at the College, both today and in the future.

  • Support Project SUPER Project SUPER is a STEM-focused enrichment program that offers undergraduate women monthly career and opportunity workshops, an Introduction to Scientific Research course, a STEM Research Experience stipend, and mentoring support. The Project SUPER experience offers first-year students the opportunity to begin research early in their college careers, and continues throughout all four years. Thanks to donor support, the number of students conducting full-time scientific research over the summer will increase from 46 to 75 this year.

  • Support Gender and the Arts The Gender and the Arts certificate through Douglass Residential College will provide all Douglass women the opportunity to augment their experiences through visual and performing arts events on and off campus. Opportunities to create and engage with fine art are key components of the experience. For a leadership opportunity, students can join the Douglass Arts Advisory Board, in which they will help develop and lead programming for their fellow Douglass women.

  • Support the Global Village Students today live and study in a globalized world.  Their futures are shaped by global interdependence in commerce, communications, legislation, and the movement of populations. Today’s best education prepares students to steward this new world order in ways that support women and others whose rights are not yet realized around the world.  Douglass Residential College’s Global Village program is designed to educate and immerse students in focused study of global problems and solutions, particularly in regard to women’s lives.  Each year, the Global Village provides 150 or more Douglass students with the opportunity to live together in themed “houses,” take a course related to the house theme, and participate in domestic or international travel and community engagement.
