The Douglass Honors College Community (DHCC) is a vibrant academic community that empowers high-achieving students through a distinctive blend of intellectual experiences rooted in feminist pedagogy, where students build genuine connections with peers who share their drive and curiosity. Born from a collaboration between Douglass Residential College and the Honors College, DHCC brings students together through exclusive programming and opportunities, meaningful peer collaboration, and events designed to help them flourish.
Here, students dive into experiential learning that spans interdisciplinary subjects, leadership development, and social service initiatives, all within a supportive, inclusive environment where every voice matters. Every activity and experience is designed to enrich your college journey and set you up for success well beyond graduation.

As a member of DHCC, you'll gain access to:
- Exclusive programming and events not available to Honors College or Douglass students individually.
- The Faculty Fellows Cohort, a signature opportunity for close mentorship and collaboration with faculty.
- Interdisciplinary experiential learning, connecting classroom knowledge to real-world impact.
- Leadership development opportunities designed to build confidence and capability.
- Social service and community engagement initiatives.
- A tight-knit peer network of like-minded, high-achieving students.
- Feminist pedagogy woven throughout programming, encouraging critical thinking and inclusive dialogue.

DHCC membership is open to students who are part of both the Honors College and Douglass Residential College.
- Honors College: Students must first be admitted to and enrolled in the Honors College.
- Douglass Residential College: Enrollment in Douglass is open to any undergraduate student, here is no GPA or academic requirement. To join, students opt in and pay small yearly fee.
Once a student is enrolled in both the Honors College and Douglass Residential College, they are eligible to participate in DHCC and its exclusive opportunities.

For New Students:
- Accept Your Rutgers Admission Offer Accept your offer of admission to Rutgers–New Brunswick at admissions.rutgers.edu/accept.
- Add Douglass Residential College
- Log in to your my.rutgers.edu portal
- Locate the "My Enrollment: Recommended" section
- Select "Enhance Your Rutgers Experience with Douglass"
- Check the box to join the Douglass community and click submit
- Submit your updated enrollment selection
Important: Students must be enrolled in Douglass Residential College in order to participate in any Douglass Living-Learning Community. Adding Douglass through my.rutgers.edu is required to maintain your LLC placement.
Note: Douglass Residential College residence halls and Living-Learning Communities are designated as single-gender housing for students who identify as women.
