An Evening in New York with Sculptor, Installation Artist and Douglass Alumna Alice Aycock DC'68

The Turbulence Series will include new work by the artist, five large-scale aluminum sculptures ranging in height from 9 to 19-feet tall resembling wind and waves, a number of smaller works, as well as a selection of works on paper. This is Aycock's first solo exhibition with Marlborough Gallery.

Alice Aycock received a B.A. from Douglass College and an M.A. from Hunter College. Her sculpture, The Miraculating Machine in the Garden, was created for the 10th anniversary of the Mary H. Dana Women Artists Series, and is located on the Douglass Campus. Other works can be found in numerous collections including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum, the Brooklyn Museum and the Sprengel Museum in Hanover Germany.
