Welcome to Douglass

A fun evening where students get welcomed to the Douglass campus and introduced to the Douglass Roadmap. Learn about Douglass Discovery opportunities and, in collaboration with Scarlet Arts Rx, join DRC in an evening of arts and crafts where students decorate their Welcome Days lanyards into a souvenir they'll value forever! Coffee and light refreshments will be provided! Check-In starts at 4:30 PM!  

Join us for a full day of learning about the career exploration and career readiness resources that DRC has to offer! Learn about the Douglass Roadmap and meet the staff here at Douglass. Hear real advice from a student panel and a guest speaker from Career Exploration Services. The day will conclude with a teddy bear packaging service event that will be gifted to children through The Children Home Society of New Jersey. This event is in collaboration with The Bearing Hope Foundation. Free lunch! This event will count for R2: Community Engagement Credit.  

Wear your best group outfit and join the Douglass Welcome Ambassadors and Global at Douglass for a night of Bingo and prizes at Neilson Dining Hall! Come hang out, play bingo, and win great Douglass swag!  

Celebrate the conclusion of Douglass Welcome Days and the start of your semester at Rutgers! Get a final debrief on the mentoring resources at Douglass and the Douglass Roadmap before collecting your exclusive sunflower charm at the closing ceremony. Students will learn about the Community Engagement at Douglass, enjoy tasty treats from an ice cream truck, and take their first photo by the DRC sign as a keepsake. Free Ice Cream! Wear yellow!

There will be TWO sessions: one at Bunting Cobb on Cook/Douglass and one at Morrow Suites on Busch.
