The Douglass Difference Annual Fund

Opportunities knock, and flexible funds enable the College to move quickly to capitalize on bright ideas and bold initiatives, as well as provide support for emerging needs. These resources truly define our difference, funding investment in programs, curricula, research and scholarship.

Douglass Discovery Program Fund

Close encounters with scholars and artists lead to creative insights and unexpected results. Funds for this new initiative bring cutting-edge Faculty Fellows to campus to work directly with Douglass students. Together they conduct research, undertake original projects and explore fields as diverse as the fine arts, social justice and medicine.

Douglass Women are the Future of STEM

Douglass leads the way! Over 50% of Douglass students major in science, technology, engineering or math, supported by programs designed to help them achieve their full potential. Funds support scientific research programs, mentoring and leadership initiatives and innovative living-learning communities that offer a full-spectrum of opportunity.

Career Pathways for Women – The BOLD Center:

In its sixth year, the BOLD Center lived up to its name, creatively and fearlessly forging ahead through pandemic challenges to adapt its leadership, mentoring, career and personal development programs. This fund supports initiatives that help students clarify their academic and career goals, connect with mentors and role models, and prepare for lifetime success.

Douglass Scholarships and Opportunity Grants

Accessible and affordable education and the chance to experience academic enrichment and travel programs is a goal for all Douglass students. Funds support scholarships and enable students to access life-changing opportunities to enhance learning through conferences, workshops, policy programs and study abroad.

Dean Jacquelyn Litt Fund for Equity and Inclusion

Dean Jacquelyn Litt Fund for Equity and Inclusion is named for the tenth Dean of Douglass College who served between 2010-2022. Dean Litt’s focus, to advance women’s education through transformational academic and co-curricular programs, led to the successes of thousands of students. The Fund will cultivate Douglass-wide efforts to sustain a community in which all students are valued and empowered.

Securities, Stock, Payroll Deduction, or Wire Transfer

Making a gift of appreciated securities can be a highly efficient method of supporting Douglass Residential College. Donating such stock can help you reduce or even eliminate capital gains tax.

Rutgers employees can make charitable contributions to the university by payroll deduction.

A Note on Giving

Philanthropic support is vital to fully fund programming and provide financial need scholarships to our students. By giving to Douglass College you are directly supporting Douglass students, and 100% of your contribution will go towards the purpose for which you have given. Effective January 1, 2022, the University has eliminated the gift assessment fee for any gifts and non-governmental grants made to Rutgers.
