This month, the Douglass Community Catalysts organized impactful events for all students, uniting voices from all corners of the community to celebrate and empower one another.
The Douglass Community Catalysts Program trains 25-45 ambassadors each year to lead conversations with other students on topics that affect the campus community. The program seeks student leaders who are passionate about causes and initiatives that foster a positive campus environment. Part of the experience includes planning and executing community-building events for fellow Douglass students.
The Catalysts first turned up the love, joy, and pride at Douglass' GAYpril celebration: "Pride Quest.”They then carried that energy into celebrating Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Desi American Heritage month with culture, creativity, and community. The event was co-sponsored by Scarlet Arts RX, an arts wellness organization at Rutgers.
From honoring identities to building connections, Douglass Community Catalysts events are what it looks like when our community comes together with purpose and energy.
