Sacred Path
Representing the progression in rank of each class, the Sacred Path ceremony is one of the most cherished traditions, rendering a certain amount of unity and coherence to the college community, assigning each pupil a new place in the midst of the whole. After their heroic race down the path, the freshman became sophomores, now able to make use of their previously unused red clothing. Sophomores became juniors, proud to wear their school ring. Juniors at long last were able to sing “Drink a Toast” and the seniors, now in body as well as spirit, were reminded of their soon to be realized departure from one world and entrance to another.
