Reserving Voorhees Chapel
Thinking of using the Chapel for your next event?
Voorhees Chapel can hold up to 700 people and is great for lectures, concerts, weddings or other large events. Become part of Douglass history by reserving your next function at the Voorhees Chapel.
This Georgian Colonial Chapel, designed in the Christopher Wren tradition and founded in 1925, is one of the most distinctive buildings on campus. It was made possible by a gracious gift from Elizabeth Rodman Voorhees. Its stately white spire catches the eye from anywhere on campus. It is an oft-used site of college ceremonies, student assemblies, weddings and religious services, musical concerts and other programs by artists, scholars and speakers. High arched ceilings and classical details give excellent acoustics, and the building houses a German Schuke organ, installed in 1976 and one of only very few in the United States.
