Supporting students by:
-
Offering scholarships to deserving students of our members
-
Providing seed money to Douglass organizations for school projects or fundraisers
Supporting parents and guardians by:
-
Being a source of information to parents/guardians of prospective students who are in the midst of making a decision about college that will impact your daughter’s future
-
Being a committed presence and source for parents/guardians if a problem or issue arises during your daughter’s time at Douglass Residential College
Supporting Douglass Residential College by:
-
Attending various Open Houses to promote the Parents' Association and Douglass. We all believe this is a great place for our daughters to attend because we have seen the positive results of the Douglass Difference in action.
-
Being a forum through which parents/guardians can provide their input on a variety of issues
Meeting Schedule
We meet monthly during the school year either on weekday evenings or on weekends. Meetings are held at various locations throughout the university and we often have guest speakers from Douglass and the university who share their insight on issues affecting our daughters.
We also have social gatherings for parents and guardians, such as an evening of enjoyment at the Agricultural Museum.
If you have any questions about your daughter’s choice of Douglass Residential College and Rutgers, please feel free to contact us. We welcome your inquiries.
Richard Gallagher, President DCPA
Nancy C. Jenkins, Vice President DCPA
